Vihtavuori N135 rifle powder

Vihtavuori N135 is a relatively fast rifle powder that delivers outstanding accuracy, velocity and consistent performance. This powder is an excellent choice for .308 Winchester loads with bullet weights of less than 155 grains. The N135 is also well suited to cartridges like the 6 mm BR Norma, .222 and .223 Rem, 6.5 Grendel, 6.5×47 Lapua as well as large straight-walled brass such as the .458 Win. Mag.

Developed originally for 7.62×51 NATO M80 Ball, Vihtavuori’s N135 is today a universal gun powder which is used by reloaders for a large range of calibers from .222 Remington to .458 Winchester Magnum.

The N135 is a tubular powder type with grain dimensions of 1,0 mm length and 0,8 mm diameter. The burn rate is medium on the scale of our rifle powders. Interesting fact: N135, N133 and N130 all have exactly the same grain dimensions, but due to the different surface coating the burning behavior of the powders varies.

N135 is used especially by medium game hunters and long-range target shooters.

Perfect match for .308 and .223

N135 is an excellent powder for .308 Winchester loads with a bullet weight between 8,0 g /123 grains and 10 g /155 grains. If you have never tried N135 with a 155 gr Open Tip Match bullet, it’s time to do it! Try this handloading powder also with .223 Remington loads with a bullet weight of 3,9-4,5 grams (60-69 grains) and you will be surprised of the accuracy and velocity performance of the combination.
